A Vancouver area teen who told a heart-breaking story in a YouTube video of cyberbullying that led to an all-out schoolyard attack has apparently committed suicide. In stories and posts flooding Vancouver’s social media networks, #RIPAmanda is trending as people post news and condolences for the teen identified as posting the video, Amanda Todd.

This is so sickening and heartbreaking. When did human beings turn into monsters? How can degrading and humiliating somebody until they break and eventually take their own lives feel good and rewarding; something to brag about on Facebook? And how is this tolerated and allowed? The people involved (I won’t call them children, I doubt they ever were) were hardly covert in their actions. We are raising a generation of little sociopaths, sometimes I feel there is very little hope for the future of the human race. Rest in peace Amanda, I’m so sorry it came to this.

That is soo sad…Amanda may you rest in peace and know that you did make a difference for many youths that may have to go thru the painful experiences that you so innocently went thru not realizing how ugly this world can be and yes Lisa Chambers said it well when she says that the people who put Amanda thru this were NOT CHILDREN but just cruel and ugly beings that unfortunately r molding OUR future?! Please….to all of you innocent young people who think that people cant be that ugly….know that this is proof how ugly this world can be but also know that if you stay strong that our future will become a better place because the good can outdue the evil. Amanda could have been a great positive influence to our youths when she got older but she couldn’t get thru what she went thru alone…..it was horrifying to just watch, I couldn’t imagine what she had to go thru.
Please young and old… lets stand together in memory of Amanda so her soul can rest in peace and know at least she made a difference and made others realize how bad it really can be so God willing we don’t lose any more of our good hearted youths to something so miniscuel in the big picture.. she was a victim all along and yet she tried to protect a selfish jerk who couldn’t grow enough balls to stick up for a girl that tried to protect him even after taking a beating never stood down and a guy to be to scared?
This could have beenprevented in soo many ways…it’s just so sad.
Amanda Todd YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!! and what makes her even more beautiful is the innocent purity of her heart. I wish you never had to experience that…I am so sorry for you. May your heart be blessed and may the world allow you to finally rest in peace. RIP
